Spicy Garlic Shrimp

Typically served as a tapas appetizer, this spicy garlic shrimp dish will transport you straight to Spain thanks to the deep garlic flavor and Kiva's Hot Smoked Spanish Paprika. This spicy dish can also be served with pasta and rice for a main course meal — just don't forget the baguette to soak up the mouthwatering garlic sauce!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 60 ml
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp Kiva Hot Smoked Spanish Paprika 1.15 grams
- 20 raw jumbo shrimp peeled & deveined
- handful finely chopped parsley
- pinch sea salt
- dash black pepper
Instructions

Heat a large fry pan with a medium heat

Meanwhile, thinly slice 6 cloves of garlic, finely chop a handful of fresh parsley and pat dry 20 raw jumbo shrimp (peeled & deveined) with paper towels, season with sea salt & black pepper just on one side

After heating the pan for 6 to 8 minutes on a medium heat, add in 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil and 2 cloves of garlic (peeled), mix continuously, after 2 minutes and the garlic is lightly sauteed, remove from the pan and discard, then add in the shrimp seasoned side down, all in a single layer, cook for 60 seconds per side, then remove from the pan and set aside

Lower the heat to a low heat, add in the sliced garlic, mix continuously, after 1 minute and the garlic is lightly sauteed turn off the heat, add in 1/2 tsp hot smoked Spanish paprika and a little sea salt, mix together, then add in the shrimp and mix together

Transfer the shrimp into a serving dish, pour the garlic sauce over the shrimp and sprinkle with the finely chopped parsley, serve at once, enjoy!
